The organising team conducted a final route survey recently and report that the roads are in excellent condition as can be seen from our recent photographs on Facebook. Steve Waggett Clerk of the Course confirmed that “We have a fantastic and compact route with under 90 road miles, based in Hexham at the auction mart with its excellent facilities. The route features two new stages which haven’t seen rally traffic for a number of years as well as some more familiar mileage.”
With stages totalling just under 45 miles they have dispensed with some of the sections that did cut up last year.
Regulations will be out on Sunday 9th April for the event which is a round of the BTRDA Rally series, ANECCC Stage Championship, Motoscope Northern Historic Rally Championship, Motorsport UK English Rally Championship and the New MG 3 Challenge.
