Falstone stage returns to 2024 route

Absent from the 2023 Kielder Forest Rally route the classic Falstone stage returns in 2024. The stage is based north of Kielder dam above the village the stage is named after. And over the years has been won in it’s different layouts by some legendary drivers:

  • Tony Pond (Metro 6R4) – Lombard RAC Rally 1985
  • Malcolm Wilson (Ford Escort RS Cosworth) – Network Q RAC Rally 1993
  • Tapio Laukkanen (Renault Mégane Maxi) – Pirelli International Rally 1999

Typical of Kielder stages Falstone is a fast flowing stage with lots of elevation changes. As can be seen from the onboard of the 2022 stage. The 2024 stage will not be the exact same route.

The events other two stages will be The Bower and Shepherdshield. Both used in 2023 the stages were hugely popular with competitors receiving great feedback:

“Awesome stages”

“Best gravel rally I have ever done”

Entries for this years rally open Saturday 27th April at 9am.
