The 2019 Pirelli International Rally will again offer competitors in the Fuchs Lubricants Motorsport UK British Historic Championship the opportunity to run first on the road ensuring smooth surfaces and the opportunity to enjoy the fast-flowing forest tracks in the vast Kielder complex which are such a feature of the event. Using this format, pioneered by the Pirelli organisers and now becoming normal on all events, the organisers are confident that there will be a resurgence in historic entries and a strong field turning up in Carlisle for the rally which will be the 2nd round of the 2019 BHRC series.
The Pirelli International Rally, which runs on April 27th and will also be a round of the HRCR Motoscope Northern Historic Championship, will again feature it’s short, snappy, all action format which has proved to be a big hit with competitors with the action compressed into just 4 good length stages giving some 45 miles of prime Kielder Forest roads, all first usage, all first on the road. A service area, located after stage 2 will be located in the Kielder area, adjacent to the stages, cutting down on road mileage.
The Pirelli International Rally will start from the event’s base, the well known H & H Borderway Mart and, with an early start, the first cars should have the route completed and be back just after lunchtime, leaving plenty of time for the onward journey home. For those crews who wish to make it a
