Matt Makes It!!!!

MATT MAKES IT !!!! After a whirlwind dash halfway across the world, Matt Wilson’s Ford Fiesta made it back to to base and the Cumbrian driver will line up for his home event having presented the car for scrutineering this morning. It is amazing to consider that just 7 days ago the car was still in Argentina having been used on a World Championship round after which it was air freighted back to the UK via Amsterdam and arrived back at the M-Sport headquarters on Thursday. After a rapid refurbishment and a quick test session the car arrived at rally headquarters looking in pristine condition, Wilson will start on the event running at car number 5, amazingly, he hasn’t driven on the Pirelli Carlisle Rally or in Kielder Forest since the 2004 event and it will be interesting to compare his times with those of the British Championship regulars.
