Pirelli’s Compact Choice for Competitors

Pirelli International Rally
This year, Pirelli International Rally will offer competitors a super compact, all action event with the always innovative rally adopting a new format for 2018 which sees all the action compressed into a short, sharp one day format with the accent very definitely on packing as much into as short a timescale as possible, and producing a cost-effective event for competitors. This will be achieved with a revised schedule and moving the events main service area into the rally’s  Kielder heartland. First away will be competitors in the Fuchs MSA British Historic Championship and the new Rally2 Challenge who leave the Carlisle start venue for a 4 stage, 43 mile event, all first usage, all prime Kielder stages, all action from the word go, the whole event packed in to just 5 hours which gives an early lunchtime finish although competitors have the opportunity to rejoin the event for another 26 stage miles in the afternoon. The Pirelli International Rally is headlined by the competitors in the Prestone MSA British Rally Championship and FIA Celtic European Rally Trophy who will head to Kielder where 8 stages totalling some 85 miles of Kielder’s fast gravel tracks will be on offer with the two service points located just yards of the stage finish, cutting down on road miles and keeping the action flowing. The rally will finish with a high profile, flag-waving ceremony in the bustling market town of Brampton where amongst a host of rally themed sideshows and attractions,  the event will take over the town’s main street and the historic marketplace will again be thronged with crowds of people all eager to cheer the winners home.
