Although the Pirelli International Rally doesn’t start until the following day, rally enthusiasts and spectators are more than welcome to come along to the H & H Borderway Auction Mart on Friday (26th April) to see the teams arrive for pre-event scrutineering. The public can meet the crews, collect autographs and take photographs of the cars and drivers. The activity is centred on the mart’s Exhibition Hall which will be open from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm and entry is free to spectators.
The Historic section of the rally will depart from H & H at 7:30 am, an early start as they head for the Kielder Forest stages where there are specially designated spectator areas with ample parking facilities. These are conveniently located adjacent to the C200 road and will be clearly signposted. The Historic competitors will finish back at H & H at around 12:30 pm while the British Rally Championship competitors will arrive in Brampton market place for a ceremonial finish, complete with live-action TV and the traditional champagne spraying, the first car due at approximately 6:00 pm.
Souvenir rally programmes giving loads of information about the event and where to see the action will be on sale at H & H Auction Mart.
